Annemarie Wigton BS, CPT-NSCA, CMT
Annemarie Wigton graduated from CMU in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Health Fitness in Preventive and Rehabilitative Studies. During college she was certified as a massage therapist from which she practiced for 7 years. Annemarie is a NSCA certified personal trainer and certified in injury prevention of female athletes through Cincinnati Sportsmetrics™. In addition to training, Annemarie previously worked as a physical therapy aid. She is a certified CETI Cancer Exercise Specialist™ and has trained hundreds of cancer patients since 2007. Annemarie co-founded The Journey Program™ in 2009 which offers physical fitness training to cancer patients during all stages of their treatment and recovery. The Journey Program™ currently has two locations in Traverse City and one in Frankfort. Her hope is that exercise becomes a standard part of care for cancer patients and survivors.
Annemarie loves spending time with her husband and three kids. She is a proud Traverse City local and enjoys all of the seasonal activities, restaurants, and sights that the area has to offer.
