The Journey Program L3C is a domestic low-profit limited liability corporation organized for the betterment of the community that it serves. Its main purpose is to empower cancer patients to improve their quality of life through exercise and to enable cancer patients to transition back to a healthy lifestyle where they can function at their highest potential. The program uses exercise instruction and coaching to teach and promote a healthy lifestyle. To achieve this purpose The Journey Program offers exercise education classes to cancer patients for an extended but limited time period through the generosity of local sponsors.
Journey Program classes are free to all cancer survivors within 2 years of treatment.
We are able to offer free classes to our participants through the generosity of our sponsors. We provide several ways for individuals, organizations and foundations to provide financial support to this program.
Graduate Gifts: We encourage cancer patients benefiting from Journey Program to “pay it forward” by giving funds for the next person to take the class.
Direct Donations: We accept all donations to support classes offered at community facilities. These donations are appreciated and go toward funding classes offered at area gyms.
Donations to NonProfit Providers: A donation to the non profit facility in which we offer classes will fund our program at that facility. Indicate on your donation that the funds are expressly intended for Journey Program. Our classes are currently at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital (Betsie Hosick Health and Fitness Center) and Munson Medical Center (Cowell Family Cancer Center). These donations are tax deductible.
Sponsors: Organizations and businesses may choose to be a community sponsor by donating funds to support Journey Program or offering discounted services to support Journey Program expenses.
